About Us

Design AF, Inc.

Design AF was incorporated in 2017 to provide fellow small businesses with consulting services in architecture, interiors, and urban design projects.

Since then, Design AF has established a close working relationship with numerous design firms (Common Bond Design, Gary Segal Architect, and more...) within the New York City metropolitan area. We also have been working for individual private clients with projects in California, Florida, and Texas.

Austin Frankel

Founder, Austin Frankel, established his roots in the built environment at an early age on family projects in Northern NJ. Mr. Frankel holds a Bachelor and Master of Architecture degree from the prestigious Tulane University. His studies in New Orleans and Copenhagen focused on custom design at all scales from furniture to urban planning.

Austin currently works for Pier, Fine Associates in Manhattan, New York specializing in luxury residential interiors. Formerly, Austin worked as a Project Manager at Architecture In Formation (2018-2023) and has previously been jointly employed by Keenen/Riley Architects as a Project Designer & Parallel as a Curatorial and Design Associate/Executive Assistant (2015-2017).

Since 2020, Austin has been operating an online second-hand/vintage furniture and homewares company with bespoke, quality-sourced eclectic decor called AF Finds. You can finds select items for sale via Chairish & Instagram. Austin is constantly sourcing new items throughout the Northeast and on his travels throughout the globe. He can find the perfect personal pieces you are looking for.
